We have been looking for the best DVD recorder for 2 years now. We've refined our sources to bring you the best information for researching DVD recorder technology.

We started DVD Recorder Review to make it easier for you--the consumer. We've helped tens of thousands of visitors select DVD recorders that fits their needs. Now we've decided to take it one step further.

  • Home Theater Magazine. One of my favorites for unbiased, current, informative DVD recorder reviews. They have plenty of reviews for popular DVD recorders
  • Ecoustics.com. They're like a search engine of DVD recorder review sites. A great source of info. If you want an in depth review visit
  • Sound&Vision.com -absolutely excellent reviews. One of my best resources!
  • CNET.com. I've been using them for years. They also have consumer reviews.
  • ZDNeT.com (affiliated with CNET.com) more PC oriented but sometimes has reviews that CNET doesn't have.
  • reviewcentre.com has a wealth of valuable consumer based DVD recorder reviews. Read through them. Look for consumer's complaints but READ b/t the lines for the "disgruntled" consumer.
  • PC World.com gives sketchy reviews but offers DVD recorder ratings and tests.
  • About.com offers unbiased reviews that are useful. They keep a top ten category that is fairly close to the mark..
  • DooYoo has DVD recorder ratings but they're not in depth. Good to back up earlier findings.
  • Recommendedbuys.com has product descriptions with consumer reviews.

Our most valuable resource for Best DVD Recorder Reviews

The AVS Forum. Yes they can get technical but the members of this site are more informed than any other site I've visited. They buy cutting edge products before anyone else has them. They know the flaw of ANYTHING Audio/Visual related and they know the best DVD recorder available. For many of their members money is not a consideration.

So there you have it. A comprehensive list of DVD recorder resources.

Our DVD recorder reviews are unbiased and fresh. We periodically remove older reviews to keep the site fresh (but we may start archiving them). We do keep reviews on the site for older DVD recorders but they serve a purpose.  These older DVD recorders are still for sale (sometimes quite cheap).
